What is Prime Delivery?

Prime Delivery is a fund raising campaign that is designed for Meals on Wheels San Francisco in order to end senior hunger in the city. Our campaign makes donation easy and accessible by getting businesses and individuals involved. Our goal isn’t just help feeding hungry seniors in San Francisco, but to set up the best practise example for the rest of the countries. Therefore, other cities’ businesses and people will be inspired to help their hungry seniors.

Why is Prime Delivery needed?

Meels on Wheels needs your help:

Founded in 1970, Meals on Wheels San Francisco is a local, independent non-profit organization supporting local seniors. While Meals on Wheels is doing what they can, but they are resource challenged and need help. Meals on Wheels doesn’t get federal funding — its operating budget is raised from community partners — individuals, corporations, and foundations, 6 so the current food rescue mission needs everyone engaged.

Preparation

Getting started in San Francisco

The PrimeDelivery donation campaign will begin in San Francisco. Working with local supermarkets and restaurant, our campaign will focus on reminding people about the senior hunger issue in the proper places as well as making donations convenient.

Increasing numbers of partners’ donations

In order to make a real change in our PrimeDelivery rescue mission, our campaign needs everyone engaged. That means we want both businesses and individuals to be involved. The focus of campaign will be partner with more businesses: consumer buys the partners’ special products (housemade/ special order section/ souvenirs), and the manufactures will send a a percentage of the profit to the PrimeDelivery account.

Finding local business partners during the holiday season

During the holiday season, a special PrimeDelivery campaign will run in the local partner supermarkets which will include an endcup display with PrimeDelivery empty jar. The emptiness will grab people’s attention, and this way, donation is made easy and accessible with the purchase of our take home jars.

For business contributors: we will list the top contribution business on our website. To Let people know which businesses are helping the most. For individuals: After each donation made, there will be a pop-window that asks people if they want to share their generous act within social medias.
